Bottletop is a dynamic UK-based charity supporting health education initiatives worldwide. This is the first in a series of albums from the charity featuring rare world music remixed by leading DJs and producers. Funds raised through these releases will support Bottletop projects in both Africa and the UK.
In just two years, Bottletop’s dynamic approach to charity has generated the support of leading recording artists and political figureheads from around the world ranging from Justin Timberlake and Dido to Kofi Annan and Bill Clinton.
Bottletop’s first campaign in association with British fashion house Mulberry generated funds in excess of £250,000.
The music in this release is primarily from Ghana and Nigeria, with some dating back as early as the 1960s. It has been remixed by internationally renowned DJs and producers such as Paul Oakenfold, Adam Freeland and Quantic. It is available as a 2 disc set: originals and remixes.
